Maths Café is for people who want to brush up on their school maths or who maybe never fully got it in the first place :)

We know you're going to be rusty! So, we start each topic from scratch. What you can expect is a lecture-free, relaxed, sociable and engaging experience.

We'll be using a new app, Slam, that supports face-to-face collaborative learning.

Global Learning XPRIZE

What's more, all proceeds go to the R&D of Ireland's only entry (that we know of!) for the Global Learning XPRIZE, a competition to enable child-driven learning.

The first session is functions and trigonometry.

Breakdown of the day:

We are currently confirming on location, but it will be based in Dublin city centure.

🌈 Benedict Kuester

Benedict Kuester is a research associate at CRITE and also works as a data scientist. Together they have a education start-up, Lesson Prep, which is currently focused on developing the Slam app.

🌈 Lydia Flynn

Lydia Flynn is a post-grad at the Centre for Research in I.T. in Education (CRITE) at Trinity College Dublin, where she recently completed her degree in Neuroscience. Lydia set up and runs Student Leadership and Maths, an academic outreach at Trinity in which participants set up their own maths clubs in their own schools.

Q. A lot of our events are female-friendly events, we have enquiries asking if other genders are welcome as well?
